You can create your own unique schedule, as well! We recommend updating your profile with bio info and a photo so we can all get to know one another.

NOTE: If you are in a unique position (e.g. You retired and are returning, You taught HS and are now teaching ES, etc.), please see your building administrator with questions about what you do and do not need to attend.

Canvas Training (6-12)

Canvas is a web-based learning management system (or LMS) used by CHPS. Using Canvas, educators can create and manage online learning materials for students using a variety of course creation and management tools.

Some of the items covered in this session include:

Accessing Canvas for teachers, students, and families
Canvas navigational tools
Creating modules, pages, quizzes, and assignments
Canvas Gradebook
Sharing content with colleagues

Middle School Writing

We will introduce our new writing resource, The Writing Revolution, which is integrated into our pacing guides this year. All new teachers will be provided with a copy of the text and go over how to use it as a planning resource. Additionally, we will coach teachers on how to use the CHMS School-Wide Writing Foldable (SWWT).

Planbook Training (6-12)

Planbook is the digital lesson planning platform used in CHPS. Planbook allows you to create, edit, and access your plans from the web or from a mobile device. You can add collaborators, as well as share your plans with students, families, and substitutes with ease.

During this session, we will cover:

Getting started in Planbook
Adding classes/content blocks
Adding school holidays and breaks
Adding and editing lesson plans
Sharing lesson plans with colleagues
